             An essential, the sailor jumper is the piece that has made SAINT JAMES renowned. The authentic Matelot model is crafted in our workshops in Normandy, in Saint-James. It embodies the traditional elements of the sailor jumper that accompanied sailors to Newfoundland: a very tight knit, making it almost waterproof, a buttoning on the left shoulder for easy donning and keeping the neck warm, a length allowing to protect the back when bending over, and a composition of 100% untreated virgin wool.
Available in a striped version, it draws inspiration from our traditional sailor striped  shirts. A model with a bold maritime look, to be adapted and diversified into urban or fashionable versions.- 1×1 rib knit
